A Vintage Butterfly Party full of sweetness...

Happy 3rd Birthday to my Beautiful Angel...

I adore each and every shot of this adorable day! Adelynn, your Butterfly party you just "had to have" turned out just perfect! This party was one of my very favorite to design and plan. I cannot take all the credit though for the follow through. Your wonderful Mimi took my ideas and made them a reality! Mommy has been so very busy with selling MJC lately, that the birthday just sort of snuck up on me. Mimi made it super special by bringing some of your Great Granny's crocheted pieces to use on the tables. You can see from the pics that you and your special friends enjoyed every second. I especially LOVE the butterfly drop done by the "older" sisters. You little "fairies" looked beyond precious chasing after those soft pink butterflies with your nets. I also liked how the nets posed as little snack sacs for each little girls party meals. Enjoy the photos of your perfect party with your precious little friends...

(these pictures come no where close to doing these adorable windmills justice. They are each and every one so unique and vintage with all their details. Thanks, Mimi, you are amazing!)

All your guests got their very own "Vintage Butterfly Garden" to take home with very real like pastel butterflies tucked inside.

Cute little sack lunches bound up in the butterfly nets tied with vintage lace and sweet ribbons.

And, now, for my most favorite memory and your's too, I think...

I absolutely love to look at all the expressions on the faces in these pics. From the anticipation in the shot where you are leading your friends to the actual "butterfly garden" to the shots of ya'll chases the butterflies as they float down. You all look so excited and happy and I hope I never forget all the sweet giggles and squeals. Priceless!

Then, we left your sisters and their friends who helped during the party paint a few butterfly faces...or heads, I guess!
You had a blast today with your sisters and your friends and I enjoyed every second of soaking in the memories with you! The only part I can say I really have a hard time coming to grips with is that you all are growing way to fast. At least you promise me daily, Adelynn, that you will always be my Sweet Baby A!

I just love this shot because after the party, Adelynn, you ran over to me and grabbed hold of my thigh and squeezed real tight and whispered, "Mommy, that was so fun!" You were beside yourself excited and very pleased with your party day! I know it was all you have been anticipating it would be after weeks of asking me..."is my butterfly birthday coming up?"

I just came across your blog while researching ideas for my daughter's upcoming butterfly party. I love the idea of dropping butterflies for the girls to catch in their nets (we already have nets as party favors, but hadnt thought to put them to use!). Would you please let me know what you used for the butterflies? Are they just tissue paper?? Great job on a beautiful party!

Wow! Absolutely beautiful!
What a great idea with the catching of paper butterflies using the net :) Definately going to use this idea for my nieces upcoming "butterfly dreams" party!
