Walking in my Sister's Shoes...

or BOOTS!!!
When the big girls are at school in the mornings (ailee goes wed.thur.fri), I have to find ways to entertain Adelynn because she is so accustom to following her big sisters around. Sweet girl, the past couple of days you have found great pleasure in heading straight into your sisters' closets and finding a pair of shoes that you will then "try" to wear around the house for hours. Today, I thought it would be fun to get out an old pair of boots for you to explore. Wow, did you have a blast. After a few minutes of seeing how cute you were, I dug out the bloomers and my camera and decided to work on some of the photo knowledge I learned from a photography workshop last weekend. THANKS so much, Ms. Emily, although, I know I have a lot more to learn. It was still neat to try out some new settings and actual be able to edit them in photoshop in raw format.
I have never been a big fan of the vingette style photos but these seemed like the perfect ones to try it out on. I think it turned out pretty good on the one below.
I think the last one is my favorite. I love the vintage look and the fat rolls too!

Just one of the girls...

I am slowly watching my baby girl grow into another member of the girly mix around here. Adelynn, you are beginning to really "listen" in on the big girls conversations. You hear them talking and begin doing things they are saying too. I give them directions and you waddle off with them to do it. It amazes me how quickly you are changing. You LOVE to be able to go upstairs and just hang out with them while they draw, play the wii, etc. When we start walking up the stairs with you, you burst out in screams and giggles of excitement. In the morning when you first stand up in your bed, you start pointing out the door of your room. As soon I as get you down, you give me a little loving and take off in the direction you hear their voices. It is priceless to watch the relationship the three of you girls have together. I adore each of you but as a set...you are so much fun! Thanks for letting me join in as one of the girls too! All too soon, I am sure the day will come when I will not be "cool" enough to hang out as much anymore! For now though, I am loving every minute of it!

A Snow Day...

Finally, we got a snow day and you girls were thrilled! You insisted on making snow angels and, Anna Grace, I am still going to have to pay you back for that snowball fight when you hit me right in the bottom with that big ball when I was not looking! I love how you girls decided to get Adelynn to stay still for a picture. Ailee, you just decided to feed her some snow! The best part of playing in the snow for Mommy is still the part that comes last...snuggling by the fire while drinking hot chocolate. Fun Memories! Thanks, Mimi and Granddaddy for letting your girls (big and small) come retreat at your house for the snow fun while Daddy was on a trip!

Only Ailee...

Yesterday, I told the girls that I would get them some new undershirts to wear under their clothes so they would stay extra warm during these cold days. I just planned on picking up some camisoles or somethings at the store. So, I ran in and grabbed some before we picked up Anna Grace. Of course, Ailee, you had to put yours on immediately. You were so excited! When Anna Grace got home, you ran over to her, pulled up your top shirt to show her your pink camisole top and you said...."Look, Anna Grace, Mommy got us a new "broccoli"
Anna Grace and I were a little confused at first but quickly realized she thought she had gotten a BRA! Too funny! Since you don't eat broccoli, I guess you thought you could just wear it!

HAPPY NEW YEAR 2010!!!!!!!!!!!

We rang in the New Year with some very special friends and you girls actually stayed up until Midnight. I could not believe it but it was fun to celebrate as an entire family. I pray many blessings will come to our family through out this new year and, hopefully, it will seem slower so I can enjoy you all still little some more!

Adelynn loved rocking out the karoke machine while you girls dressed up and played with Katherine and Ellie Jane.

Happy New Year!
