Adelynn's 18 month Highlights...

I am a little late updating on you sweet baby girl but I do not want to skip the cute stages you are in right now. You seem to be growing up faster than your sisters did in many ways and then in some ways you are still such a little one! I do not mind at all the little baby tendencies you are hanging onto for a while longer. Unlike the first go rounds, I now realize that it will all pass too quickly so I feel a need to savor the small things even more!

You have quickly realized that you are the baby of the house and you have learned to manipulate that to your advantage. When Mommy says no...ask Daddy...when that doesn't work...one of your sisters will most always come through! You will poke your lips out all puckered up and look down your nose at us when you want something you know is probably out of the question. You have learned to say no very well and shake your head when you are determined not to do something. You switched the Momm"a" Dadd"a" and GoG"a" to Mommy, daddy and Goggie (your milk) last week. It sounds so big to hear you call me Mommy just like your sisters do. You are obsessed with Riley and Gigi, Mimi's cat. You talk about them both constantly. You have started babbling sentences to yourself that make no sense at all to us. However, you know that is how we all talk to one another so you are trying hard to figure it out. You still sleep perfectly in your bed at night and you usually what Daddy to rock you to sleep each night. You are more than rotten by him. You cry for what seems like forever when he leaves for work or walks out of your sight. If I would allow you to sleep outside, you probably would. Any chance you get when a door opens you are out of it in a second. You love to swing outside and ride the jeep with your sisters. You have such a sweet nature about you but you have a great sense of humor and fun spirit, as well. I adore each minute I have with you! My favorite...by far, is rocking you for your morning nap when you snuggle your nose up under my neck while I sing to you. Only occasionally, you have lifted up your head and put your sweet little finger to your mouth and said, "shhh!" I am assumming you would rather hear silence than my out of tune voice! I love you baby girl!

A Trip Down Memory Lane...

During Spring Break, the girls and I headed to Athens to spend the weekend with Daddy while he participated in some Letterman G-Day events. It was such fun just taking the girls around the areas where Daddy and I made our first memories together. When we go for Fall game days, it is just too hectic to do much other than tailgate and gametime!

This time, I decided to show you all some of Mommy's favorite places. First stop, we went to visit mommy's sorority house and let you all tour around. It was great getting to see it again and show you my old room.. The girls we met that day at the house were so sweet to you. I wonder if I will get more pics of you in 12 years or so standing on these same steps following rush! I hope so, little Zeta ladies!

We just spent that evening hanging out downtown and walking around North Campus eating on some good ole ice cream. We walked through the arches, rang the bell and shared old memories. It was super sweet to me! Has it really been 13 years since I met your Daddy?

The morning of the Letterman Flag football game you all really enjoyed cheering Daddy on! Even Adelynn would clap and yell "Go Da-Da-Daddy!" Of course, after a few minutes on the field she actually wanted "Daddeeeee" and screamed because she wanted him to come rescue her. You are truly obsessed with Daddy right now!

Adelynn, you were very much wanting to sneak right in Uga's house and consider it your own personal escape from the heat. You thought it was the coolest little playhouse with a see-through door! You all were excited to meet the new Uga!

And...what's a spring break without at least one dip in a pool? You all love to stay in hotels and this one was great because it had an indoor pool perfect for this time of year. You big girls picked up swimming right where you left off last summer...like little fish! Adelynn, you made me extremely nervous for summer. Once your foot got wet it was all over. You were head first under the water the whole time. And you had Daddy's complete attention. I know it couldn't get any better for you that this!
I couldn't even count how many times you jumped in from the side of the pool. Daddy was worn out from it quickly. You are our little water bug!
I will cherish this weekend of memories with you sweet angels here in Athens. It blows my mind to think of you all one day being Bulldawgs yourselves. I will always remember you walking north campus as my precious little "A" girls! Mommy loves you to pieces!

Easter Memories...

Easter this year was simply beautiful! This was the first year in many I can remember dressing in "true Spring" clothing without layering over it with sweaters, tights ,etc. It was great to just enjoy the meaning of this special day along with give thanks for the grace our Savior has shown on our family. Spending the day with all the ones I love the most was perfect!

Of course, this time did not pass without a completely full schedule ,as always. I have learned as a mom of three...we started off celebrating a few days early with both the girls school Egg Hunts and Parties.

Anna Grace and her best friend from school, Katrina, really enjoyed hunting eggs together! It was sweet to watch them helping one another find the 22 eggs with their numbers on them!

Grammy and Popa joined us this year at the country club egg hunt and breakfast with the Easter bunny. You older girls were serious about completely filling the baskets with eggs this year. I even got in trouble for putting grass in them because that took up space. Such fun!

Adelynn, you were not sure about getting close to the bunny but the egg hunting was just amazing to you. You insisted on carrying your own basket, even though it was bigger than you are almost. You would pick up an egg and shake it...if you didn't hear anything you would put it down and go on to the next one. So funny...I remember another sister of yours with a sweet tooth that did the exact same thing AILEE!
What fun it was to meet up with your cousins for an egg hunt at the park with Mimi and Granddaddy's church. You all looked like a magazine cover in your little cross smocked sets Mimi made for you!

Little Easter goodies are always fun to surprise you with on Easter morning before church. This year you got Canes cheerleader hairbows, new dresses and special bunnies.

Mimi and Granddaddy were thrilled to have us all piled up in there house again this Easter. I am sure the cleaning up after we all left was not so fun...especially since you girls and I made ourselves at home through out the whole spring break almost!

Finally, it is getting easier to get decent pictures of all five of you silly gooses at one time! I think this one only took about 5 seconds...impressive!

Ailee, you are really beginning to form a sweet bond with Adelynn. I love watching your gentleness and sweet spirit come out when you are around her.

And, Adelynn, you are becoming more beautiful with each day! Your little face is just precious and it lights up from east to west when you catch a glimpse of your Daddy. I have finally witness true meaning to the term "Daddy's Girl!"

The Easter lunch at mimi's and egg hunt this year included a new little peanut! I could snuggle with this tiny angel for hours...Beautiful Josie!

Anna Grace wins it all!

We have been really busy just livin and LOVIN life together the past couple of weeks! It has been a blast and I am worn slap out! I am trying to update a few blog entries for the girls journal and I realized I left out a very special day for Anna Grace!

A month or so ago, we had an Awana Grand Prix race at church. Anna Grace and her classmates spent months sanding, painting and getting their cars ready. Of course, she was more about the looks of it and not real sure about the competitive part. However, when Daddy realized that she (by luck) had a really fast block of wood on her hands, he decided they would skip the 10K mommy was running that morning and enter the race. So, when I got the the church, they were excited! The first race really didn't end so great but after that...there was no stopping that pink and brown little car. She went ahead to not only win the entire Sparks division but the entire church competition!!!

Anna Grace, you are not of the competitive nature so that made it even more sweet. You were not prideful or did not even show much emotion at the church. After we got home, we began to smile constantly and it showed how pleased you were to be able to make your Daddy's Day! It was more about getting his attention than winning the race. You had no idea what really happened that morning but you knew that you and Daddy had some special times together. It was really sweet! Great Job, Princess! (and cute car too!)
