Tomboy?...NOT a chance!

Adelynn, you were such a blast today! Mommy has been amazed just watching you. Yesterday, you began carrying around a tinkerbell purse and I watched you for at least 2 hours walk around playing in the basement while I was sewing with your arm hiked up carrying your pocketbook. You filled it full of lip gloss, a cellphone, and other little goodies. I just giggled wondering if it is just a born intuition or if your place in this family leaves you no choice but to dig your heels in and be all GIRL! You woke up this morning in search of your little purple purse. You threw it over your shoulder and headed to school with us to drop your sisters off. Speaking of your sisters, they think it is so "adorable" (anna grace) and cute that you love this purse so much. I had a service meeting at Starbucks and for over an hour you charmed the folks getting their morning coffee by greeting them as they came in with your big grin and little lady-like ways. You continued to carry that purse with you ALL day. I mean you never put it down...in hobby lobby and the grocery store, the car every trip we made, you even ate lunch in your high chair with it on your arm, and then when you got out of the tub tonight you would not settle in your bed until I gave it to you. As I type this right now, you are sound asleep with a purse on each arm. Your sisters have always been girly but you, beginning so early, are just amazing to mommy...a little scary too! Watch out, Daddy, you don't stand a chance. I am afraid this house has no room for tomboys!

Girl time...tonight we snuggled up for a Mommy/Daughter movie night! One of my favorite little treats we share together. (Trying to sleep afterwards on popcorn crumbs is not the best though!)

A Trip to the Pumpkin Patch...

During Fall Break, Mimi and I gathered up all the girls and headed to the pumpkin patch. Since I was a little girl, this was the highlight of my fall. I absolutely love the fall colors, smells, chilly air, football, and more. This season brings with it the anticipation of the upcoming holidays and lazy days spent just soaking in all the family time you can. I cannot love it more! The trip to the pumpkin patch always acts as the kick-off to me for my favorite season!

Adelynn, I love how you seem to be so serious about your pumpkin picking. The entire day you wanted nothing more than to be right smack in the middle of the patch.

Anna Grace, you adore your baby sister and enjoy showing her "the world!"

Ailee, you are always into something!

Our Camping (Lake) Adventure...

We took a trip to the lake and stayed in a cabin that some very sweet friends let us borrow for the weekend. You girls have been wanting to "camp" for about a year now so we finally were able to make it happen. However, knowing how you both are, we felt we should be sure that there was running water, doors to lock, etc. very near by while you were "camping." This little adventure turned out to be perfect. Daddy was like a kid in the candy store and couldn't even wait to unpack the car before he hit the dock fishing! I unpacked the car and settled in while Daddy set up the fishing for everyone. I gave you all your surprises for the trip...new OWL sleeping bags with flashlights and water bottles to match. You were thrilled! To make it even better, there was a nest of owls up in the boat dock that watched you all as you fished. You thought it was so neat that there were owls on your new bags. (you thought mommy planned it that way...I just let you think I was super like that!)

Look how cute they are just watching us! Sort of creepy too, I guess!
Now, that Adelynn was down for her long nap, we were off for a fun day of fishing. It started out great and you all were so excited.

Then, the waiting got to be too much for you all! Even Daddy looked worn out.
But...Anna Grace, you caught a fish! You are definitely Daddy's little fishing buddy. You wanted to hold and throw back all the fish ya'll caught.

Poor Ailee...she was asking Daddy why she couldn't catch any fish on her pole.

Nothing better after a day of fishing and exploring than a great dinner and SMORE'S!

Our friends, Paul, Rachael, Ms. Deana, and Mr. Derrick, joined us for the night. Good night, sleepy heads. You all slept in the tents with your daddies while the little ones slept in with moms. Although no one really slept real "tight" we did have a great time!

An Apple a Day...

We went to a wonderful apple farm this weekend with Mimi. The girls have wanted to pick apples since last fall and this weekend was the perfect weather. We drove across the mountain to the B.J. Reece Apple farm where you could pick your own apples, visit the petting zoo, shoot apple cannons, and hayrides. The girls loved picking the apples and petting the animals. It truly was a great day just hanging out together!
Ailee you liked eating the apples more than picking them! How many did you eat just while we were on the farm...4!

Anna Grace, you had an amazing way with the animals. Your favorite and mine was this adorable little lamb. How sweet is he?
I love that pointing finger you use to check everything out, Adelynn.
Your sisters enjoyed introducing you to the animals, especially the bunnies!

And for one of my favorite moments of the day...Ailee you were dying to get close to this little goat, but as soon as you did, he turned around and began to nibble on the ruffle of your shirt. Oh, did you get mad! Here you are chasing him while yelling "NO! NO!" You can see how serious you were and I was cracking up (which did not make you very happy either).
The apples were great but the fried apple pies...Oh, my!

Halloween at the TMM...

Because my passion is creating anything from fabric, paper and everything else pretty...I created a little site to offer my gifts to others after many years of requests. The Monogram Monkey is just a fun, little side item of my life where the girls and I can get creative and have some fun together while exploring our inherited "crafty" gene! Click over to the blog (http://www.themonogrammonkey.blogspot.com/ or the esty store http://www.themonogrammonkey.etsy.com/ for more information).

But for now, since I shared a fun, child project yesterday,
I thought I would feature one of the DIY printable party banners from TMM for Halloween!
DIY printable Cupcake toppers and/or party favor circles!
And for my favorite...my own little angels! It is such fun playing "dolls" and dressing my perfect little monkeys!
Custom-made personalized Fall t-shirts!

Welcome October!...

The girls and I have had fun decorating the house for Fall. They were definitely more "hands-on" than the previous years so I came up with this fun project to keep them busy while Adelynn slept and I decorated the house with pumpkins, leaves, and more Fall pretties. Check back later today for more DIY (do it yourself) printable party projects and personalized clothing samples.

The Many Faces of a Jack-o-lantern Banner...
You both piled up in the kitchen floor and got to work on your pumpkins.
I love the many different variations in expressions your pumpkins are wearing!

And now for the final project...

More Halloween and Fall to come very soon!
HAPPY OCTOBER!!!!!
