Blessings...

Adelynn, you spoke sweetness to my heart the other evening when you first realized that your school placemats were adorning our dining room table. You are accustom to seeing your sister's there every year, I guess, but you noticed your first one had joined the adorableness this year. I heard you in a distant area of the house just talking away. I couldn't understand you or didn't know who you were talking to so I peeked around the corner to see saying your "blessings" around the table. You started at your placemat and then went around. It was like you were narrating them in the form a prayer and thanking God for His blessings for you and on behalf of your sisters. It was priceless. You kept saying..."Dear God," Then, I heard you say "my sisters are my bestest friends and my God, you made me beautiful!" It was so precious!

This sweet little life was bursting to tell her Heavenly Father all the many things she had to be thankful for at the precious age of 3. I was reminded of all the things I must stop and give thanks for this year. It has also been very neat to rename prayers in this house as "blessings" instead. Adelynn has decided that when she talks to God it is called a blessing instead of praying. It forces me to remember to always enter into prayer with gratefulness and to give thanks first!

Thank you, Dear Lord, for the Blessings in this home and the many windows of Heaven I get to experience each and every day through my children and my loved ones! I cannot thank you enough for the friends you have surrounded us with this past year. They circle around us and provide us with comfort and support that only comes from you. Then, there are my parents which are the perfect expression of how you love me. You know the depths to which I love and adore them. And, I must thank you for the trails this past year, as well. They have grown my faith and my love towards You. Please continue to safeguard and pour grace down upon my family. We love you! Amen

I'm looking for a thanksgiving and USEFUL craft I can do with my three children tomorrow. I tried to zoom in on your table, but it won't let me. Can you inform me what the place mats are all about?
