Random Happenings in May...

Well, this month is only half way over but we have a full camera card I need to share a few highlights from with you...(I am saving my favorite (ballet recital) for it's own personal post!
Anna Grace, you had Field Day with her class last week and I just loved watching you have a blast with all your friends. I know I have put a lot of pictures of you and Kat on here this year but you two just adore one another. You wrote on your last journal entry..."The best thing about Kindergarten is my best friend Kat." The fun you two had during the noodle race was contagious!

And, as always, our Chickfila out did themselves and had a very special Mother's Day Tea party. It was super sweet and we were honored to have Mimi join us too!

Next, Anna Grace had Kindergarten Graduation. I must only stop here for a second or I will definitely tear up. How can it be that you are out of Kindergarten already? You have learned SO much this year. My favorite, by far, is your writing. I sat and cried and laughed reading your writer's workshop entries from this year. I LOVE knowing some of the things inside your sweet little head while you were away at school. Since Daddy won't let me Home school, I at least get to feel closer to your daily happenings from your journal. You are growing into an amazing little lady with the best manners and the kindest heart. You have a learned a few new social things this year too...do you even really know what a peace sign is? However, for the most part you have stayed our innocent angel even through all the exposure to new surroundings. I can only pray that you continue to seek truth and share God's light with others around you instead of being influenced by the world. (oh, and thank you so much for not thinking you are too big for hairbows and smocked dresses! I LOVE you my little mini me!)

Little Ailee, you also graduated from Mrs. Brooke's 3 yr old class. You have already said at least once a day how much you miss Ms. Brooke and your friends. You are such a social child and you think you rule First Pres. You greet every teacher each morning and always return to my car at pick up time with someone's lipstick prints on your checks. It makes my day that you are so loved there!

So proud!
THEN, this past weekend my baby cousin got married. I know, David doesn't exactly look like a baby here but he was the youngest of the 4 of us first cousin's and seeing his face as his gorgeous bride walked down that aisle hit me like a ton of bricks. There I sat with my 3 children!!!! and little Dave was getting married. Can we say...OLD? Flashes of my childhood came flooding back and I vividly remember that trip to Reliance where David and I snuggled up under the roots of that big tree for Gran and Pop to take our picture. And, how can I forget Pop's face when you fell in the water!

I am so proud of you, David and the awesome man you have become. You and Jessica will be so happy. Remember, if you move to this area, me and my girls will make the perfect babysitters, in a few years, of course!

Needless to say, the girls all had a blast during the reception. Wow, look at Anna Grace even dancing. I am amazed, Girl, that you were brave enough to dance in public! You did spend a lot of the evening cuddled up in Daddy's lap but I was pleased to catch this one of you having so much fun on the dance floor. You are definitely the more reserved one of the three!

Now this little one, not so much on the reserved side considering at 20 months she is dancing with her arms up! It was so funny watching you, Adelynn, while you were spinning, hopping and stomping to the music.

And, Ailee, you were in awe of the bride. In your mind, she was every bit of the princess you dream of becoming. You followed her around like a shadow and were thrilled when she offered you a dance!

I couldn't help but share Uncle Matt Matt and his girls cutting a rug! Don't kill me, big Brother!

Sweet Josie rolling in the grass in her flower girl dress. What an angel! Hop Pop, I really think she needs a girls day with us down this way!

I can remember the first dance as Mrs. Jonathan England like it was yesterday...not ten years ago! Only 60 more days until our 10 year anniversary trip!

Have an awesome life together, Dave and Jess!
