We put a tad different spin on Fall Break this year. We decided to skip right over the Family Pumpkin Farm trips and Apple picking since we have done this every year multiple times a season. We tossed around the idea of surprising the girls with an actual tent camp-out near the lake. Then, Jon and I quickly remembered we had all girls and they were definitely ALL girl, so the camp-out might not be the best option. So, Daddy planned a more girly version of a Fall Break trip. He booked us a room that overlooked the park downtown Atlanta and made reservations at the SunDail. You girls have always wanted to go eat there since it spins around as you eat and it was super fun to see so much of the city and North Ga from way up high! AG, you did get rather sick to your tummy on the all glass elevator as we reached the top. I loved seeing each of your faces as you took in the sights and sounds of the big city. It's a lot different from our little town. I am thankful for our quiet little place by the river but this sure was an exciting getaway!
Ailee, never a dull moment with you!
Just a sisterly game of catch quickly turned into a competition...
Then, even quicker into someone needing some loving from her Daddy! It's hard being the smallest.
I will always be amazed at the vast difference between you two sisters!
And, then treated like the royalty that you are :-), we rode home to your hotel in a beauitful Carriage, just like Cinderella! Some little angels were excited!!!
We had a wonderful time together to jumpstart the Fall Season! Wonderful memories I know each of you will cherish. I was very happy we decided to put a twist on the norm!
We ended our last day of Fall Vacation on the lake with the Sward family after church. We picnic-ed, you all dipped in the very cold water and we told some fun stories~a great time with great friends. Yep, this was a super week!
Not sure we can top this next year but I look forward to what we might get into then! But for now, I am excited about what the holiday season has in store for us.
