As usual, we woke up at Mimi's house the day after Thanksgiving to screaming little girl voices and fun giggles. While most of the world is out shopping big Christmas sales, we are having our Elf breakfast. The best part is the Christmas Lists made at the end of Breakfast. Then, it's on-line shopping time:-)
Here, Adelynn, your sweet middle sister is helping you fill out your Santa Wish list. You are explaining to her that you are 4 this year. You both are trying to come up with examples of how you have been good so you can prove to Santa!
Then, we finish up the day with decorating Mimi's tree in the basement with tons of your mommy and uncle matt matt's ornaments from when we were younger. We also spent Thanksgiving evening decorating Granny and Pop's tree too. Such sweet memories!
I can still hear Granny explaining my ornaments to me just like Mimi is doing here with you, Ailee. I pray you hang on to these special times as a granddaughter because they too fade way to quickly. Tuck all the little stories and memories in your heart and lock them away. I promise some of your favorite holiday afternoons in the years ahead will be sorting through these fond days in your head.
