Sweet Birthday Surprises!

Baby "A" Turns 2...
Our invitations for this party were extra sweet because it was a small party with special friends and family. Mommy delivered actual goodies...pink ice cream bowls and spoons with fluffy pink cotton candy pretending as ice cream with fun sprinkles and a sweet photo of you inviting your friends to the park to play with you and have ice cream at your parlor!
Well, princess...this ice cream party was a blast to create and from all the sweet expressions on your face throughout the party snapshots, you must have really enjoyed it too. We didn't pull it off without a few sprinkles of rain but you would never know it by the amount of fun you were having. You enjoyed every minute of the goodies, presents and playtime! I know one day you will love this photo as much as me...you make a mean ice cream face, girl! I guess this shows just how serious you are about it and how much you love every bite! After singing, you grabbed the first cupcake and ran over to your special table but not without stopping on the way to show it off the everyone you passed! You had been waiting a long time for this treat!

You and a few of your special little friends had fun eating at your own table with lots of fun decorations! We missed your three friends who couldn't make it this time!
This year I borrowed a banner idea from another sweet blogger friend and customer of mine and strung pictures of you above your party table. It turned out super sweet!
We made some fuzzy ice cream cones for the table centerpieces! So cute!
And you and all your friends made some really creative ice cream sundae bowls with all the goodies! (be sure to catch a glimpse of your special hand painted bday plate mommy makes each of you every year to match your bday theme!)

I am sure you all three (five, counting your cousins) know that there is nothing in this world your Mimi will not do to make your lives more special. Although cake decorating is not her love or favorite chore, she jumped leaps and bounds and made a super fun cake that I must add was super delicious. Daddy ate almost the whole top layer alone!! The topper was the rice krispie treat we gave all the guests as a thank you for coming. Daddy made them and you all loved them...even the mommies and daddies wanted one too!
This is my favorite picture because as we were singing "happy birthday" you grabbed me around the neck sooo tight and pulled our heads together. This is how we rock to sleep every night. It was as if you were saying to my heart "Mommy, I may be growing up each day but I will always be your baby girl!"
I say it over and over but you have the sweetest most heart warming expressions! Just look how precious your face is in all the playing and present shots.

Mimi couldn't let a celebration go by without an addition to our Madame Alexander collection. Now, you have your very own birthday doll!
Uncle Matt Matt might have been your favorite party guest! When we got home, you pulled your little chair right over beside where he was watching tv. It wasn't long until he had you cuddled up in his lap and you were loving every second. You even spent your final minutes before bed in the rocking chair with me crying for "matt matt!" (that belly sure does look full from all the cake and ice cream, little one!)
Happy Birthday to our Precious Peanut!
Sweet Baby "A"...Two is absolutely adorable on you! Now, can we just please take a rest stop here for a while? You are growing up way too fast!

Sure glad the cake tasted good (I loved the new icing recipe--yummy!)because it lacked alot in the decorating area ~ but it was fun trying!! Maybe between sewing and gardening I need some cake decorating classes (LOL)!! She's definitely the most expressive of the 5! We all had a great time!!!
