My Favorite Season...

The girls working on their "Thankful" turkey placemats.

Ailee is thankful for...baby dolls, Daddy, Baby Adelynn, Anna Grace, Mommy and me, making stuff, and letters.

Anna Grace is thankful for...beautiful bedroom, dog, Mommy and Daddy, and my good week.
Daddy gets in on the crafts too!

Fall has always been one of my favorite seasons of all for many reasons. I loved how Mom always decorated our house, the smell of pumpkin and cinnamon candles burning, the first sip of hot apple cider, cold evenings spent with family by a warm fire, and the anticipation of the Christmas holidays! It was during the first semester of college at UGA that I realized just how much this all meant to me. I was accustomed to family dinner get-togethers at my Granny and Pop's two times every weekend and usually at least one casual visit during the week. This was a routine I definitely took for granted until the first weekend I was away at school. And man, did it hit me like a ton of bricks. I will never forget the phone calls home on the weekends to talk to Mom and everyone would be together. It was hard to be absent from the ones I loved most but I knew that once I saw the leaves changing soon I would be home for the Thanksgiving Holidays. This is the time of year when I miss my Granny the very most! There was nothing that smelled better than walking in her house on Thanksgiving Day to a great big sniff of "Tom Turkey."

What Fall looks like around our house...

I guess that is why I enjoy Fall better than any other Season. I absolutely love to think back to the my memories of trips to the pumpkin farms, Georgia football games, and weekend rides around Chatsworth to enjoy the leaves changing with my two very best friends, my mom and Granny. I cherish those memories so much and enjoy creating new ones with my precious girls. We had a lot of fun today being crafty together and pondering over the many things we have to be thankful for this year. One thing that I am thankful for it that my little girls love craft projects as much as I do, even Daddy is getting in on the fun every once and a while!
